The Ensemble: Elise Hunt

Elise has been a Co-Artistic Director at Washington Ensemble Theatre since 2005. With the Ensemble, Elise originated roles in the world premiers of Handcuff Girl Saves the World, WonderfulLife: The Holidays on Capitol Hill, What is Sexy?, Museum Play, Crumbs Are Also Bread, and The Ten Thousand Things. Elise also appeared in The Mistakes Madeline Made, Iphiginia in Aulis, and Swimming in the Shallows. This season, Elise will debut in the role of director for the Ensemble’s world premiere production of Babs the Dodo by Michael Mitnik.

This year you can catch Elise as “Mairead” In The Lieutenant of Inishmore at ACT, and as Curley’s Wife in Of Mice and Men at Seattle Repertory Theatre. Other regional credits include “Libby Michaels” in Paradise Lost at Intiman, “Alice” in You Can’t Take it With You at Seattle Repertory Theatre, “Cecily Cardew” in The Importance of Being Earnest at Southcoast Repertory Theatre, and “Jane” in The Women at ACT. Elise appeared in September 2009 as “Laura” in The Glass Menagerie at Coastal Repertory Theatre in Half Moon Bay, California, where she cut her teeth as a young actor. Other Bay Area credits include “Thomasina” in Arcadia at Bus Barn Stage Company. Elise graduated from the University of Washington in 2006 with a degree in Drama. Elise is a member of the Actors Equity Association.
